India to begin Windies tour with two practice games, first Test in Antigua

India will play their first Test in Antigua and final Test in Port-of-Spain during their seven-week tour of the West Indies from July 6 to August 23.

India will start their four-Test series in West Indies in Antigua and sign off the seven-week tour with the final game at Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, as per the detailed schedule finalised by the two boards.

A West Indies Cricket Board statement said on Thursday that the visiting side will play both their practice games at St Kitts. India’s first Test tour of the Caribbean since 2011 will run from July 6 to August 23.

This will be India’s first Test tour of the West Indies since 2011, when they won 1-0.

The schedule:

Practice games: St Kitts: Two-day game July 9-10; 3-day game: July 14-16.

First Test: Antigua (July 21-25), Second Test: Kingston, Jamaica (July 30-Aug 3); Third Test: St Lucia (Aug 9-13); Fourth Test: Port-of-Spain (Aug 18-22).
