Vihaan Malhotra and Khilan Patel worked their magic after the run chase resumed, with the former taking four wickets and also a spectacular catch to end the game. Earlier, rain had halted the run chase, and after the game resumed, the overs were reduced to 29 and the target was revised at 165. Henil Patel got the final wicket as Bangladesh were bowled out for 146 in 28.3 overs. Khilan got Bangladesh captain Hakim Tamim's wicket. Malhotra removed Siddiki for 15 off 23 balls, putting the pressure on Bangladesh batters. Then he removed Jibon for seven off nine balls. Khilan lured Hakim with a full toss, and he ended up getting dismissed for 51 off 72 balls. Then Vihaan got Ratul's (2) wicket, courtesy of a stunning catch from Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Before rain halted the run chase, Kanishk Chouhan removed opener Rifat Beg, for 37 off 37 balls. Rifat was looking confident and was building a partnership with Hakim Tamim, but Kanishk rose to the occasion, removing the Bangladesh opener with a magical delivery. Meanwhile, Deepesh Devendran gifted India an early breakthrough, removing Bangladesh opener Zawad Abrar (5) in the first over of the run chase. But after Zawad's dismissal, Bangladesh slowly got momentum through Rifat and Tamim's partnership and Kanishk's wicket proved to be the turning point in the run chase.

Earlier, Bangladesh pacer Al Fahad worked his magic, taking a fifer to restrict India to 238 runs in 48.4 overs. Fahad removed Deepesh Devendran (11) for the final wicket, which also saw him complete his five-wicket haul. The match was reduced to 49 overs after rain delay, and Abhigyan Kundu found it hard to accelerate. The wicketkeeper-batter had to reassess after every single over, as his teammates were departing in quick succession. He finally lost his wicket to Fahad in the 48th over, departing for 80 off 112 balls. Fahad got his third wicket, working his magic to get Khilan Patel for eight off 15 balls. Just as the match resumed after a long rain delay, calamity struck India again as RS Ambrish departed for five off 12 balls. Facing Sheikh Paevez Jibon in the first over after resumption, Ambrish edged him in the fourth delivery, getting caught by Farid Hasan Faysal.

Earlier, rain halted play in the first innings as India reached 192/6 in 39 overs, with Abhigyan Kundu single-handedly anchoring Ayush Mhatre's side. It looked like Vaibhav Suryavanshi would get another ton, but Iqbal Hossain Emon managed to dismiss the India opener at the right time. In the 27th over, Suryavanshi tried to take on Emon and ended up getting caught by Al Fahad, departing for 72 off 67 balls. At just 14 years and 296 days old, Vaibhav etched his name into the record books by becoming the youngest player to score a fifty-plus innings in Under-19 World Cup history. Suryavanshi brought up a fine 30-ball half-century. He built a strong partnership with Abhigyan Kundu after his partnership with Vihaan Malhotra (7) ended in the 10th over. Kundu is still unbeaten and has already registered an 82-ball fifty. Harvansh Pangalia (2) was also removed by Emon for his second wicket.

Al Fahad struck twice, removing India captain Ayush Mhatre for 6 and Vedant Trivedi for a duck in back-to-back deliveries, giving Bangladesh control and putting India under pressure.
