We can perhaps see another fifty stand from the Indian pair. But it remains to be seen whether any player manages to score a big hundred.

Embuldeniya first cleaned up Kohli and Fernando then removed Vihari to dismiss any chances of Day 1 being a one-sided affair at Mohali. The bright spot for India will be Vihari's excellent temperament while batting at the No. 3 spot. He'd big shoes to fill!

Four off Lakmal's over and it's tea! Sri Lanka have made a strong comeback by removing Kohli and Vihari. All eyes on Pant and Iyer in the final session.

Pant steals a quick single. Seems like he isn't going to embrace a traditional approach like Vihari. Shreyas, on the other hand, looks solid with his defensive skills. India also have Jadeja and Ashwin in the batting order.
