IND vs WI Highlights, 2nd Test Day 4 India vs West Indies: India batted first in the match and posted a mammoth 518 runs. The batting effort was led by Yashasvi Jasiwal (175) and captain, Shubman Gill (129*). Following their brilliant batting effort India would have hoped to bat only one in the game.

The bowlers provided a good start as they picked up an early wicket. However, after that Alick Athanaze and Tagenarine Chanderpaul provided resistance. They stitched a 66-run partnership showing the resilience and fight left in them. India managed to back the partnership towards the end of day 2 and hoped to end the innings quickly. However, Shai Hope and Tevin Imlach ensured that West Indies ended the day with four wicket down.

At the beginning of Day 3, Kuldeep Yadav ran rampant and broke the resistance of the West Indies middle order. However, Khary Pierre and Anderson Phillip showed late resistance delaying their end of the innings. Ultimately India finished of the first innings of West Indies for 248 runs with a lead of 270 in their bank.

Shubman Gill enforced the follow on and asked West Indies to bat again. The visitors lost their first couple of wickets, but then began an epic resistance. John Campbell and Shai Hope scored centuries to take West Indies past the Indian total. After the departure of the two batters, they lost a few quick wickets. But the last wicket stuck together for 79 runs and frustrated the Indian team. They took a lead of 120 runs asking India to score one more to win the game.

India tried to start on the aggressive to chase down the target by the end of day four. But the early departure of Yashasvi Jaiswal forced them to re-strategise and they decided to take it as it comes. However, after the wicket of Jasiwal, KL Rahul and Sai Sudharsan calmed things down and took India to the end of Day 4 without any further damage. India needed 58 runs to win the game on the final day of the match.
