Shami, who is out of the team for about three months, had surgery on his left knee and was undergoing rehab at the Bangalore-based NCA. "The recovery is going perfectly and I will once again go for rehab after a few days," the pacer added.

It is understood that Shami may miss the upcoming Tests in Sri Lanka next month and his return is likely against the home series against South Africa in September-October.
