In chase of 166, MI were given an electric start by openers Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock, as the duo brought up their 50-run stand in quick time to take the side to 56/0 at the end of the Powerplay. But their joy was short-lived as Yuzvendra Chahal removed de Kock(24) and Ishan Kishan (9). On the other hand, Maxwell got the crucial wickets of Sharma (43) and Krunal Pandya (5) to finish with figures 2/23 in 4 overs. Mohammed Siraj bagged Surykumar Yadav's (8) wicket to leave MI 5 down. Harshal then picked up four ofthe remaining five wickets, including a hat-trick to guide RCB to a convincing win. The Royal Challengers Bangalore set Mumbai Indians a target of 166 in 120 overs. It all began with Jasprit Bumrah dismissing Devdutt Padikkal for a duck. In the previous over, Virat Kohli was dropped on 0 and he made them pay by scoring a second consecutive 50. Moreover, he became the first Indian to cross 10,000 runs in T20 cricket. Overall, he's the fifth batter. He put on 68 runs with KS Bharat (32) for the second. The onslaught was carried forward by the 51-run stand between Glenn Maxwell and Kohli. Eventually, Kohli fell for 51 before Maxwell got to his fifty. With AB de Villiers, he took RCB past 150 before being dismissed on 56 by Bumrah. The MI pacer struck again in the next delivery, dismissing ABD on 11. Eventually, RCB posted 166/6 in 20 overs.
