IPL 2022: All you need to know about the Indian Premier League 2022 season. The first match will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders on March 26 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) is only a few days away. After living through each and every moment of the frenzy called IPL 2022 Mega Auction, the cricketing fraternity now has another aspect to talk about. On Sunday, the BCCI released the full IPL 2022 schedule, revealing that the defending champions Chennai Super Kings, led by MS Dhoni, will kick off the season against Shreyas Iyer's Kolkata Knight Riders on March 26 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The second day of the season will see last season's runners-up, Delhi Capitals, facing off against five-time champions Mumba Indians at Mumbai's Brabourne Stadium. The second match of the day on Sunday, March 27, will have Punjab Kings Royal and Challengers Bangalore squaring off at the DY Patil Stadium.
The two newcomers, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants, will begin their journey by playing each other on March 28 at the Wankhede Stadium.
And finally, the first set of matches will culminate with IPL 2016 champions Sunrisers Hyderabad hosting Rajasthan Royals at the MCA Stadium, Pune.
