As reported by HT on Sunday, Sanjay Jagdale will take over as the secretary from N Srinivasan, who will commence his tenure as the BCCI president at the AGM. And Srinivasan's other comrades will include Pune industrialist Ajay Shirke as treasurer, Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association chief Anurag Thakur as joint secretary and Arun Jaitley (North Zone), Shivlal Yadav (South), Chitrak Mitra (East), Niranjan Shah (West) and Sudhir Dabir (Central) as vice-presidents.
The only surprise in this list has been Dabir, the former Vidarbha Cricket Association president, being preferred over Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association chief Jyotiraditya Scindia. It was learnt that Scindia decided to back out after Jagdale was roped in as secretary to avoid two major posts going to the same association.
Meanwhile, Ranjib Biswal will in all likelihood be appointed the first permanent manager of the national cricket team.
