MLC 2023, Texas Super Kings vs MI New York Highlights: All-round TSK beat MINY by 17 runs

Three runs and two wickets off that final over from Daniel Sams. As good as it gets in T20 cricket. MINY wrap up on 137/8. They never really got going and when they did, they got out in quite extraordinary ways. An excellent bowling performance from TSK, they gave just 39 runs away in the last four overs.

And it is Du Plessis again who takes the catch. Sams is on a hatrick. Rabada tries to hit it over long off, puts it straight down the throat of the TSK captain standing there. 

Daniel Sams bowling the last over, David on strike, the latter goes high up in the Dallas night sky. It had come off the toe end of the bat and Du Plessis runs towards his left from long on, judges it to perfection and completes the catch.

Faf du Plessis, aged 39, almost took an absolute worldie off the last ball. Rashid tried to go over mid-on, Du Plessis sprinted to his right and put in a full body dive. It hit his hands and went off. TSK clear favourites now. 

They need 32 to win off the last two overs. Just eight runs off the 18th. Now Dwayne Bravo will bowl the second last. This match has been a barn burner. 

Slow one to end the over from Bravo, Hammad waits and waits and takes a crack at it. Can't get the elevation and Faf du Plessis takes a sharp catch at long off. MINY need 40 from 18b

Full from Bravo and David smashes it over the bowler's head. MINY desperately need the big Aussie to explode. 

They need 49 to win of 24. Tim David was stuck at the non-striker's end for the entire over but Hammad Azam managed to hit two fours in it.

That's two in two for Mohsin. Another googly from him and Pollard seems to know little about it. Ball goes past the inside edge and hits him on the pad, umpire gives it out but Pollard reviews. Bat and pad are quire close and for a second, it looks like Pollard might have got something on it. But the third umpire rules that he has inconclusive evidence and asks the umpire to stay with his decision.

Shayan Jehangir is stumped. Mohsin with a googly on off, Jehangir comes down the track well in advance and totally misses the ball. Straightforward stumping for Conway.

What a big wicket this is and what a terrible way for MINY to lose it. Pooran calls for a second run that was just not on. The fielder at deep extra cover comes in and puts in a bullet throw to Conway, who whips off the bails. Replays show that Pooran was well short. Pooran himself was slow to turn and has ran himself out. 

This has turned into a good over for MINY. Shayan hit the fourth ball past backward point and then reverse sweeps the next past third man.

Well Steven Taylor's sluggish 15 off 21 came to an end in the ninth over and that might be a boon for MINY because it has brought the dangerous Nicholas Pooran out there. Mohammad Mohsin bowls the second ball of the 10th in his arc and Pooran smashes it over the bowler's head.

A sedate start to the chase, as had been the case for MINY, though they were about 10 runs ahead at this point. 

New York are 31/1 in 5 overs. This time it is Shayan Jahangir who does it. Flighted on middle and off, Jahangir smashes it over mid on. 

Santner comes in to bowl the fifth and is welcomed by Taylor with a boundary. Short on middle and off, Taylor makes room and sends it over square leg.

USA legend Steven Taylor is now out in the middle with Shayan Jehangir. Just one run came from that second over by Theron. 

MINY's opening stand lasts just eight balls. A fantastic delivery from Theron, full and jagging away late. Monank Patel plays it and edges it to Conway.

Shayan Jahangir and Monank Patel open the innings for MINY, Daniel Sams opening the bowling for TSK. MINY need 155 to win. 

Santner's little dash in the end has helped TSK put up  a score of over 150. It hasn't been the most fluid of T20 innings you would ever see. But then if it was difficult for the team batting first, there is a very good chance that it won't be easy for the team batting second. 

TSK are 149/5. Santner has gone hunting in the last two overs and raced to 24 of 11. Daniel Sams will be on strike, facing up against Trent Boult. 

DJ Bravo is out there, hero of the last match for TSK even though they lost it. Santner is at the other end. It is kitchen sink time now for TSK. 

Rabada goes full and wide outside off, Miller throws his hands at it. The fielder at deep backward point runs forward to take the catch. Fantastically set up there and MINY have got the big wicket of Miller just as the death overs are about to start.

That also brings up the 50 partnership between him and David Miller off just 39 balls. Fifth ball of the 15th, Conway goes after one flighted by Rashid on middle and leg. That goes sailing over deep midwicket. Conway on 66 off 50, Miller on 16 off 13, TSK are 110/2 in 15 overs. 

It has come in 42 balls but TSK would want him to stay till the end. They are now 92/2 in 13.2 overs
