MI vs SRH Highlights, IPL 2023: Cameron Green's 47-ball ton seals big win for Mumbai, Rajasthan eliminated

Akash Madhwal comes into the attack and he is welcomed with a SIX by Mayank Agarwal. 

The bowler later breaks the opening stand between Vivrant Sharma and Mayank Agarwal. Bangs it short and Vivrant goes for the big hit but ends up handing a simple catch to Nehal Wadhera at mid-wicket. He falls for 69(47)

Henrich Klaasen is the new batter in and he opens his account with a four. SRH: 144/1 (14 overs)

Jason Behrendorff is back in the attack and he is welcomed with a SIX by Mayank Agarwal. The batter then gets a four in the next ball, which also takes him to his half-century, which comes in 32 deliveries. 

Vivrant then hits the pacer for another maximum as 19 runs come off the over. SRH: 130/0 (13 overs)

Piyush Chawla comes to bowl his third over and he does a decent job. However, Vivrant Sharma continues his wrath on the spinner hitting him for a four straight down the track. SRH: 111/0 (12 overs)

Kumar Kartikeya is hit for a couple of fours, one each by Vivrant and Mayank as SRH breach the 100-run mark. SRH: 103/0 (11 overs)

Chris Jordan comes to the attack and he is hit for a couple of boundaries by Vivrant Sharma, who then completes a double and single later in the over to bring up his half-century. He reaches the milestone in 36 balls. SRH: 93/0 (10 overs)

Kumar Kartikeya bowls a tidy over as five singles come off it. SRH: 79/0 (9 overs)

Vivrant Sharma hits Piyush Chawla for a SIX. The spinner tosses it up and Vivrant gets on his knees and sweeps it for a maximum. SRH: 74/0 (8 overs)

Rohit makes one more bowling change but the boundaries keep coming for SRH. Kumar Kartikeya bowls a wide one outside off and Mayank Agarwal throws his bat but only manages an edge. However, that is enough to send the ball for a boundary behind the stumps. SRH: 63/0 (7 overs)

Rohit Sharma brings in Piyush Chawla in the attack and he is welcomed with a boundary by Vivrant Sharma. Picks up the googly and hits it straight for four runs. The batter then finishes the over with another boundary, another googly, which is hit straight down the ground, slightly wide of the non-striker. SRH: 53/0 (6 overs)  

Akash Madhwal comes into the attack and he is hit for a FOUR by Mayank Agarwal. It was on the slot and the batter plays a lofted drive to send the ball to the fence. Mayank ends the over with another boundary. The pacer pitches it full and Mayank times it brilliantly to send the ball towards cover boundary. SRH: 43/0 (5 overs)

Rohit Sharma introduces Chris Jordan in the attack. He starts with a single against Mayank, following which Vivrant hits the pacer for two fours. The first one is pushed towards the third-man region for a four, while the second one is slashed over covers for another four. SRH: 32/0 (4 overs)

Jason Beherendoff will continue from his end and he starts with a single against Vivrant Sharma. The pacer bowls two consecutive wides, before bowling a dot against Mayank Agarwal. The SRH opener then smashes the pacer for consecutive fours, first was hit straight over the bowler's head, enough connection to send the ball towards the fence. The second one is driven towards covers for another boundary. SRH: 22/0 (3 overs)

Cameron Green shares the new ball with Jason Behrendoff and he does a tidy job. Five singles come off his over, three off which were leg byes, as SRH reach 10/0 in 2 overs.

Behrendorff starts with a couple of dots against Vivrant Sharma, before he steps down the track and smashes it towards deep cover as the ball bounces right before the fence. SRH: 5/0 (1 over)

Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma wins toss, opts to bowl against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

“Dimensions - 63 metres and 67 metres square, 72 metres downtown. I see the red soil sticking out. From history, this is a very good wicket. The wicket is knit together quite nicely which means it's a good cricket wicket. Yorkers and good length has worked for the bowlers, everything else has been absolutely dispatched. It's a great surface, heavy length, top of off-stump is absolutely vital because of how good the wicket is.”

SRH have nothing to lose and will aim to end the season on a high.

Heinrich Klaasen will hold the key for SRH, having scored a superb century in the previous encounter.

Klassen is SRH's leading run-scorer and has amassed 430 runs from 10 innings. He averages 53.45 and has a strike-rate of 179.16.

Rohit Sharma started the season on a slow note and was dismissed for five single-digit scores including two ducks. However, he has showed signs of bouncing back to form, having scored 18-ball 29 and a 25-ball 37 in his last two outings. 

With MI finding themselves in a tough spot, the team will hope that their captain fires big.

The good news for Mumbai is that the conditions in Bangalore, where the final league match between RCB and GT will be played, looks dicey. As per the data available on weather.com, it is overcast and rain is expected in the evening.

Rohit Sharma has not had the best of season, and the onus will once again be on the likes of Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan to do the heavylifting for the team. 

Tim David, Cameron Green, and Nehal Wadhera too need to go all guns blazing in the crucial encounter against SRH.

MI's biggest concern has been their bowling at their home ground. The team has conceded four 200-plus scores on the trot, while RCB piled 199/6 in 20 overs. 

Mumbai Indians have enjoyed a good record at home and have secured four wins, while enduring two defeats. Mumbai Indians will hope for another positive outcome at the home venue and will also look to improve their Net Run Rate (NRR).
