South African cheergirl Gabriella Pasqualotto paid the price of revealing some spicy details around the Indian Premier League after she was axed by the league's organisers. However, the Mumbai Indians cheerleader, who earned the wrath of the IPL for giving too much away in her blogs, may have the last laugh. Gabrielle has confirmed she has been offered a role by a Bollywood movie-maker.
She was packed off home midway through IPL 4 for blogging about some of the players. But Gabrielle could return in some pomp after she was also reportedly invited for the inaugural Formula One Indian Grand Prix in October.
According to a South Africa newspaper, the 22-year-old has been flooded with media requests from all over the world since she returned home in dismay.
America's NBC channel and top radio DJs from Australia have also made interview requests. Gabrielle insists her blogs were fun and innocent.
Gabrielle's mother Amanda was furious at the treatment meted out to her daughter by the IPL organizers.
"She had an eight-hour stopover in Dubai and no US dollars to even buy a cup of coffee - we did not even know where she was. It's a disgrace the way they treated her," her mother said. Gabrielle had blogged about the after-match activities of some of the players, saying 'we're like walking porn'.
