Watch: India U19 star Rajvardhan Hangargekar listens to MS Dhoni's advice, smokes huge sixes during CSK nets

Rajvardhan Hangargekar can be seen practicing his fast bowling and batting in a video posted by CSK.

India's U-19 World Cup star Rajvardhan Hangargekar joined the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and their captain MS Dhoni during the team's camp in Surat. In a video posted by the reigning Indian Premier League (IPL) champions, the 19-year-old can be seen interacting with Dhoni and with CSK's fielding coach Rajiv Kumar.

Hangargekar can be seen practicing his fast bowling and batting in the video. Dhoni seemed to be practicing beside him while the youngster was batting and the former India captain could be seen speaking to him during the nets session.

Hangargekar is then shown to be hitting some towering sixes, displaying his ability to clear the ropes.

CSK beat arch-rivals Mumbai Indians to sign all-rounder Hangargekar for ₹1.5 crore at the IPL 2022 mega auction last month. He was key to India's triumphant U-19 World Cup campaign this year.

Hangargekar took four wickets in the tournament and also put in valuable contributions from the lower order.

CSK will begin their title defence against the Kolkata Knight Riders on March 26 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in a repeat of the 2021 final. They headline Group B and will take on their fellow group members Sunrisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Gujarat Giants two times each. They will also play their Group A counterparts Mumbai Indians twice apart from facing the remaining teams from the group once.
