Promising Bengal cricketer injured in accident

Talented Bengal medium pacer Avik Chowdhury was critically injured in a car accident in Kolkata on Sunday, sources in the Kalighat club, which he represents, said.
The car carrying Chowdhury, who was a member of Bengal Ranji Trophy team last season, hit a road divider on E M Bypass and overturned.
The promising 24-year-old player is now admitted in the ICCU of a private hospital in the city.
An employee of the Income Tax department, Chowdhury captained Bengal under-16, U-17 and U-19 teams, the sources said.
