Punjab Kings' Vaibhav Arora, Jitesh Sharma shine on IPL debut, here's what skipper Mayank Agarwal said about the duo
Vaibhav Arora and Jitesh Sharma, who made their Indian Premier League debut on Sunday night, stood up to the captain's expectations and played an important part in Punjab Kings' 54-run win over CSK.
“Vaibhav can swing the ball both ways, so he is someone who we are excited about. Jitesh is a keeper who can tonk the ball in the middle,” said Mayank Agarwal after the toss against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday evening.

Jitesh scored 26 off 17 deliveries, which featured three sixes. While Jitesh helped his side with a crucial knock with the bat, Vaibhav was equally effective with the new ball.
Sharing the new ball with South Africa speedster Kagiso Rabada, Vaibhav made an impact straightaway and went to dismiss Robin Uthappa and Moeen Ali in his first two overs. After creating early pressure, the 24-year-old finished his four-over quota under the economy of 6, conceding just 21 runs and picking two wickets.
Sharing his views on the pair, Mayank during the post-match presentation said: “Vaibhav was with us a couple of years back .. saw the talent there. He's different, he's young and has got some good skills. With Jitesh, Anil bhai had seen him when he was in MI. He said we've got to get this kid. He's got good intent. Standout thing about him is his attitude.”
Batting first PBKS piled 180/8 on the board and then went to bundle out CSK on 126. They will now play against Gujarat Titans on Friday.
