Cricket South Africa chief executive Gerald Majola said on Thursday "this has been a dreadful tragedy and our hearts go out to the people of Pakistan."

CSA said it hopes "it will play some part in alleviating the suffering of the Pakistani people."

The date of the game is yet to be confirmed but it will be the first match of the tour, which was scheduled to begin with a one-off Twenty20 game in Abu Dhabi on Oct. 27 before five one-day games and two Tests.

The floods have left 1,500 people dead and more than eight million in need of emergency assistance.
