Chasing India's total of 268, Sri Lank have begun on a solid footing, even though skipper Tilakratne Dilshan was dismissed early on, bringing to an end to a 29-run partnership with Upul Tharanga. Dilshan scored 21 runs from 19 balls, and became Ashok Dinda's first victim in the match.
However, D Chandimal and Tharanga put up a strong fron and added 52 runs in the next 9.3 overs, before Tharanga became Ravichandran Ashwin's first ODI scalp. He scored 27 runs from 38 balls.
Chandimal and Chamara Kapugedara are currrently at the crease and their partnership is worth 19 runs, Chandimal is just 7 short of a half-century, and Sri Lanka are placed at 100/2 in 19 overs.
Earlier, India scored 268 for nine in their 50 overs. Virat Kohli top scored with 68 and Yusuf Pathan made 44 after India were put in to bat. For Sri Lanka, Thilan Thushara took three for 57.
