“Is the government waiting for more such mishaps to take place...? Immediate action should be taken to fill up the dangerous potholes,” said Rajendra Uniyal, a resident of Sahastradhara Road area, citing how over a dozen people had slipped and got injured in their locality.

“At many places, temporary repair work was carried out (in the aftermath of the August accident) which has now begun to wear off. It has made the roads riskier,” said Rakesh Semwal, a resident of Danda Lakhond area.
