The BJP is going all out to cover as much political ground as possible in Delhi, where the party faced an unprecedented defeat in the 2015 assembly elections but bounced back in the 2017 municipal polls.

Party sources said three-day camps will be put up in all seven Lok Sabha constituencies, where experts and officials from the ministries concerned will tell people about various government plans and the benefits they entail for the people.

The first camp will be held on June 2. A senior cabinet minister is likely to inaugurate the function.

Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari said the sole objective of the programme is to facilitate each citizen in getting benefits of schemes initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi such as Jan Dhan Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojana and Digital India, etc.

The party will rope in intellectuals and experts from different fields to explain the purpose and advantages of government schemes. “Names of these people have not been decided yet. We had a meeting with our office bearers on Wednesday to finalise details,” he said.

Following the ‘Modi-Fest’, the Delhi BJP will also hold a convention for its district and block level workers, where they will be educated about government schemes. The event may take place at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. “The workers need to have adequate knowledge of Centre’s scheme so that they can also spread its message. I will request PM to come and tell party workers himself about the initiatives of the government ,” said Tiwari.
