Gaur, a resident of Krishna Nagar, was returning home with his brother Om Shankar after attending a function at Hallmark Banquet Hall in Karkardooma around 10.30 pm when a Safari SUV brushed past his car and then overtook his car near H ar go bind Enclave in east Delhi, police said.

One of the occupants of the car allegedly abused Gaur, who moved ahead without paying heed. In his complaint, Gaur alleged that he was hit by the butt of a revolver. He said the men snatched his gold chain and Rs 8,600. Gaur said the attackers had asked his younger brother to step out of the car but he didn’t give in and they fled after damaging Gaur’s mobile phone so that he won’ t be able to contact police, said a senior police officer.
