25-year-old biker dies in road mishap

A 25-year-old biker died after he was allegedly hit by a speeding vehicle in east Delhi's Nand Nagari on Saturday evening, police said. The identity of the errant driver remains unknown.

Identified as Monu, a resident of Trilokpuri area, the victim was returning home after attending a relative’s engagement in Ashok Nagar when the accident took place near the Nand Nagari bus stand.

“Monu left the function a little after 10pm and met with the accident around half an hour later when he reached bus stand number 212 in Nand Nagari en route his residence,” said an officer.

According to police, eyewitnesses claimed that Monu’s two-wheeler was first hit from the rear by a speeding car which made him lose his balance and led to a collision with an adjacent road divider.
