26-year-old expat killed in road accident

Monday morning witnessed yet another accident in the Capital when a 26-year-old man was killed by an unknown vehicle in South Delhi. HT reports.

Moti Kumar Yadav from Gopal Ganj in Bihar was killed in Sarojini Nagar. He just came back to the city from Saudi Arabia on Monday.

According to police, the incident occurred at 9.30am on the service lane near INA Market Metro Station. Police said the deceased worked in Saudi Arabia and had arrived in the Capital early in the morning. He was going to meet his relative in Laxmi Bai Nagar when the accident took place.

The police said that Yadav, was walking on the service lane when an unknown vehicle hit him from behind. "A passerby saw him in a pool of blood and immediately made a call to PCR. A police party reached the spot and rushed him to AIIMS Trauma Centre where the doctors declared him brought dead," said a police officer.

The police said the identification of the victim was made with the help of documents that include passport and visa, recovered from his bags. Police have informed Yadav's family about the accident and they are expected to reach the Capital on Tuesday.
