With India's relations with France at an all time high, Army chief General Deepak Kapoor will embark on a four-day visit to the European nation beginning March 31 to further strengthen military-to-military cooperation between the countries.

During the visit, Gen Kapoor will interact with senior military and civilian officials and discuss various contemporary defence issues, an Army spokesperson said in New Delhi on Saturday.
He would also visit important French military training institutions and operational headquarters to "bring home lessons from their modern training systems and facilities".
India and France have signed a number of bilateral agreements in the recent past in diverse fields including the civil nuclear cooperation deal, signalling the growing strategic partnership between the two nations.
The defence cooperation too has grown over the years and encompasses mutual visits, exchange programmes for training, equipment collaboration and military exercises, he said.
