The relative of the two women whose alleged rape and murder in Shopian had sparked a major controversy on Monday dismissed as a "drama" the CBI report submitted today in Jammu and Kashmir High Court giving a clean chit to the state police.

"It is a drama enacted by CBI", husband and brother of the two women told reporters after the CBI report was handed over to him by the investigating agency's counsel Anil Bhan on the directions of the state high court.
Earlier in the court too, he said the CBI report is a "drama". "Doctors and lawyers have been accused of speaking lies. It is a double rape and murder by CBI," he told chief justice Barin Gosh when he asked him if he will like to witness a powerpoint presentation prepared by CBI about its investigation into the case.
He also opposed the screening of the powerpoint presentation in an open court. Giving a clean chit to four police officials in the mysterious Shopian case, CBI said two women who were alleged to have been raped and murdered had actually died due to drowning and has indicted 14 people including doctors and lawyers for allegedly fabricating evidence.
