Cong MLA used ‘fake’ marksheet to admit daughter to DU college, alleges BJP chief

Marwah, parliamentary secretary to chief minister Sheila Dikshit, allegedly got his daughter admitted to a BA course in Mata Sundri College in July 2011 by submitting “forged” higher secondary examination marksheet of Madhya Pradesh State Open School, Bhopal, said Delhi BJP president Vijender Gupta.

He said the college authorities have filed a police complaint in this regard. Gupta, who also produced some documents, including the police complaint filed by Mata Sundri College against Marwah, said the Congress leader should be arrested.

The principal of Mata Sundri College did not respond to phone calls and text messages.

“We have received confirmation from the Madhya Pradesh State Open School that she did not even sit for the higher secondary exams,” Gupta said, adding that Dikshit was shielding the MLA.

He said on Saturday, principal Kanwarjeet Kaur had lodged a written complaint with the IP Estate police station against Marwah, his daughter and others. He said Marwah’s daughter had submitted the admission form in Mata Sundri College on July 12, along with a hand-written affidavit, after which she was admitted.

Marwah could not be contacted despite repeated attempts.
