The college can admit students to BSc (Honours) Chemistry, BSc (Honours) Botany and Bsc (Honours) Zoology.

But with the last date of form submission already over, isn’t it too late for students to apply? “I understand it is late but we got the letter of confirmation from the university only on Thursday. We will register students online and they can log in to our college website http://dducollege.du.ac.in/ to register themselves for these courses till June 20,” said S.K. Garg, principal, DDU college.

While it means good news for some who can still apply for the courses here, yet the concern to fill the 30 seats each for these courses remains.

“We get a large number of applicants for BSc Physical Science and BSc Life Science and it’s tough to accommodate them in one class. So, instead of having two sections, we will take in some students in the three new courses,” added Garg.

On the late introduction and scrapping of the courses, Vice-Chancellor Deepak Pental said, “Such decisions have to go through various committees and hence the delay. It will be ensured that the students do not face inconvenience.”
