A fictionalised account of the Delhi gang rape on Sony’s popular series Crime Patrol has been banned by the Broadcast Content Complaints Council.
Only courts can pronounce people guilty or innocent, the self-regulatory panel said, deciding not to allow the episode to air. The matter was referred to the panel by the Bombay high court’s Nagpur bench.
