“Priyanka was a very friendly person and had a wide social circle. But after she started dating Nitin (her husband), she turned recluse. She stopped logging on to Facebook and even changed her number,” says Tehrima Zaki, who had organised various events with Priyanka.

Priyanka reportedly shifted from Chandigarh to Delhi. She lived with her parents and younger sister in Lajpat Nagar. Zaki said Priyanka went to Cambridge School in Srinivaspuri. She did her bachelors in arts from the Open School of Lear ning, Delhi University.

Ramneek Pantal, a wedding planner, says, “I knew her. We ran into each other at many parties. We often interacted on social media. She was always jovial. I was shocked to hear that she killed herself.”

Apparently, Priyanka’s husband didn’t approve of her social life. “She was the life of parties and had a lot of male friends. And that made her husband uncomfortable. After they started dating, he told me that he didn’t want his girlfriend to work. I was surprised,” says Zaki.

A close friend of Nitin, who also owns a pub, says, “Nitin is a nice guy. I am shocked to know that he is being blamed for the incident.”
