Independent verification needed in AP Guv's scandal : Cong

Reacting to the alleged sex scandal involving Andhra Pradesh Governor N D Tiwari, Congress on Friday night said the "veracity of the material should be independently verified".

Reacting to the alleged sex scandal involving Andhra Pradesh Governor N D Tiwari, Congress on Friday night said the "veracity of the material should be independently verified".

"Since the matter is sub judice, it would be inappropriate to comment. The veracity of the material should be independently verified," Congress spokesman Manish Tewari told PTI.

Tewari said the material could even be morphed. A video footage allegedly showing N D Tiwari with some women was telecasted today in a local TV channel in the state.

The Governor has himself rubbished the tapes and a case has been filed in the High Court.
