As soon as Lalu Prasad stood up to participate in the debate on FDI in multi-brand retail, BJP members created a ruckus.

An agitated Lalu Prasad addressed BJP members as "jamhoore" (side-kicks), which led to protests by BJP members.

He also stated that the BJP itself wanted FDI in 2002, saying, "There is no compulsion on FDI, everyone is free to choose what to buy and from where to buy...there is no compulsion on the states to embrace FDI."

The RJD chief also targeted Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj, and said, "While she is opposing FDI, she is fond of Nescafe."

Lok Sabha deputy speaker Karia Munda, after failing to restore order, then adjourned the house briefly.
