A 27-year-old man was allegedly abducted, robbed and shot at by unidentified assailants before being dumped at a secluded spot in outer Delhi’s Kanjhawala area on Thursday evening.

“The incident occurred around 6.30pm. The victim is called Sonu, a resident of southwest Delhi’s Najafgarh,” said a senior police officer.
According to the police, Sonu was waiting at a bus stop in south Delhi’s Dhaula Kuan to catch a bus home, when three unidentified assailants, who were travelling in a Santro car forced him into the vehicle.
The police said the assailants robbed Sonu of two gold rings, a gold chain, a mobile phone and Rs 10,000 in cash before dumping him near a farm.
“We are waiting for the victim to recover before his statement is recorded. A case has been registered and investigations are underway,” the officer added.
