The civic agency would be inaugurating its newly constructed meeting hall in its new WiFi-enabled headquarters — the Civic Centre — on Monday.
All councillors will now have to carry their laptops with them and would be able to access the agenda of the meetings online.
But most councillors still find it difficult to use the machines and had even demanded an operator to run it on their behalf. This, despite the fact that the MCD had conducted classes to acquaint with the technology.
The meeting hall, with a dome-shaped structure, will be inaugurated by Lieutenant governor Tejendra Khanna on Monday.
“The circular hall has CCTV cameras and the proceedings of the meetings will be displayed live. All the agenda will be displayed on the two television screens too,” said Subhash Arya, leader of the MCD house.
