Kashmiri hardline separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani was served a notice prohibiting him from leaving the city by the Delhi Police's special cell on Saturday.

"Officers from the special cell met us and served a notice, which states that my father cannot leave Delhi for Srinagar. They have asked him to meet senior officers tomorrow," Dr Naeem Geelani, SAS Geelani's son told Hindustan Times.
He added that a group of police officers in plainclothes had been stationed outside their home in Malviya Nagar.
The notice has been served five days before the Delhi Police were to file a status report, following its investigation into the Hurriyat leader's alleged hate speech, along with the one delivered by noted author Arundhati Roy at a seminar in the Capital on October 21.
"He has been requested to meet officers of the Special Cell, which is investigating the matter," said a senior police officer.
