The housing body told the Division Bench of Chief Justice A P Shah and Justice Manmohan that the draft plan is under government consideration after which the area will get legal sanctity.

In view of the statement made by the counsel who also placed a copy of the draft plan before it, the court adjourned the matter for September 9.

The court was hearing a PIL seeking directions to the government for appropriate action against people who have encroached on government land and illegally constructed luxury houses in the Sainik Farm locality in South Delhi.

The petitioner also alleged that most of the residents have erected high walls beyond the permissible limit and illegally extended the houses.
