The police recovered 44 bundles of fake US Dollars and “black” dollars from the arrested Nigerian, identified as Peter Uche. With his arrest, the police claimed to have busted an international racket that cheated several people by promising them US dollars.

Ravindra Yadav, additional CP (crime), said Peter was arrested following a complaint received from Vikas Pandey, a resident of Varanasi, who alleged that his father Professor BN Pandey was duped of Rs. 25 lakh by a person who sent his father an email claiming to be an official of Bank of Africa.
