Germany has found Millennium Park ideal for a series of Indian and German music concerts from October 27 to November 4 involving bands such as Mardi Gras.BB, Jahcoozi and Indian Ocean. Entry to the concerts will be free.

“The park has good connectivity through the Indraprastha Metro station. With Humayun’s Tomb in the background, it is an ideal place to mix the old and the new,” said Micheal Steiner, the German ambassador to India. The German embassy will provide free shuttle services.

The concerts are part of the celebration to mark 60 years of Indo-German diplomatic ties and will be held at the Mela at the park that will also showcase art installations inspired by Indian weddings by famous installation artist and designer Markus Heinsdorff.

He has created a set of 16 tent-like pavilions, shaped and coloured after 16 different types of gems.
