Sibal to start Chandni Chowk redevelopment project today

The foundation stone of the much delayed plan for Chandni Chowk's redevelopment mooted by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) would be laid at Ghanta Ghar in Chandni Chowk on Thursday.
The foundation stone of the much delayed plan for Chandni Chowk's redevelopment mooted by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) would be laid at Ghanta Ghar in Chandni Chowk on Thursday.
The foundation stone will be laid by union minister Kapil Sibal. Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit, MCD's Standing Committee chairman Yogendra Chandolia, leader of MCD House Subhash Arya, and Delhi mayor Rajni Abbi will preside over the function.
The salient features of the project include creation of pedestrian oriented space in Chandni Chowk which will be seen as catalyst for revitalising economic, infrastructure and tourist potential of Shahjahanabad.
