A shooting took place at Sam's Club in Burleson, Texas, on August 24. The incident took place at 600 North Burleson Boulevard where the warehouse chain selling a variety of bulk grocery items, electronics & home goods is located.
The Burleson Police Department issued a statement offering a blow-by-blow account of what happened.

- A pursuit ended in a shooting at Sam's Club in Burleson. It involved law enforcement agencies from surrounding jurisdictions, as per the cops.
- Officers from an outside agency were pursuing a suspect, and it ended at Sam's Club when said officers were involved in a shooting with the suspect, the local police added. They described it as a ‘critical incident’.
- No Burleson police officers were involved in the shooting, the department noted.
- The incident is now under investigation and the Texas Rangers are handling the matter.
- Burleson police have said there's no threat to the public at this time, but they've been asked to avoid the area.

The Burleson Police Department did not release any details about the condition of the suspect. Scanner reports indicated that an officer was injured in the shooting, but the police statement made no mention of that. WFAA, a local channel, also reported a North Texas police officer was shot in the incident, citing sources. The identity of the officer allegedly shot has not been disclosed either.

A scary video emerged from the scene of the shooting at Burleson. Police could be seen guns drawn in the alleged video.
The person sharing the clip advised others to avoid the area. Another video provided and update on the incident as cop cars could be seen in the background.
Meanwhile, others expressed fears and concerns after the police issued the statement about the shooting. “Is this why there was a helicopter circling?,” one asked. Another questioned “Is the police presence on 917 and 35 exit related?.”
Yet another added “Glad they have been caught !! Prayers 4 the officer Can y'all say what town the injured officer works at ? Said we had cops from Cleburne to Ft. Worth so just wondering. Tons of prayers the officer will be ok.” An individual also added “I’m just wondering exactly how are the customers leaving Sam’s? Hope all the police are ok.”
