Star power: Ratna Pathak Shah, Urvashi Rautela, Sanya Malhotra at Gargi fest

The three-day gala was inaugurated by actor Ratna Pathak Shah. Celeb visitors such as Urvashi Rautela, Sanya Malhotra and Aparshakti Khurana also attended the fest.

One of the top fests of Delhi University to look forward to, Gargi College’s Reverie 2017 saw a good mix of music gigs, cultural performances and great food, but star presence topped it all.

The three-day gala was inaugurated by actor Ratna Pathak Shah, and saw celeb visitors such as actors Urvashi Rautela, Sanya Malhotra, Aparshakti Khurana and singer Shalmali Kholgade.

Ratna Pathak Shah inspired the audience at the fest with her words.

Alumni of the college, Urvashi and Sanya were glad to be a part of the celebration. While Urvashi shared fond memories with the crowd, Sanya and Aparshakti danced to songs from their film, Dangal.

“Shalmali’s songs such as Pareshaan, Raabta and Agar Tum Saath Ho are my favourite. Her voice is like heaven and I’m so glad I got a chance to listen to her,” said Ashi Tomar, a student at the fest.

Actor Sanya Malhotra danced to the Dangal title track and entertained the crowd.

There were also surprise acts — a dance performance and a fashion show — by the college faculty that garnered all the hooting and cheering from students. “The teachers scored the highest with their surprises. This was just amazing and makes me feel proud about my college. This was the first time I attended my college fest and I am looking forward for what is in store in the coming years,” said Nidhi Rana, a first year student of the college

Present as a speaker at the event was RJ Khurafati Nitin from Fever 104 FM who had the audience in splits with his humour. Adding to the energy and fun were music gigs by Bismil, Elekrohit and Progressive Brothers with a mix of soulful tracks and EDM beats that left the crowds asking for more.
