“Our exams ended on May 30. JMI asked us to furnish a confidential marksheet in the absence of physical marksheet. But DU told us that they don’t declare confidential results,” said a student who has applied for M.Phil (English) at JMI.
JMI, on the other hand, has refused to accommodate these students. “It is not fair for students who are on the waiting list. We have already pushed the date once,” said Simi Malhotra, media coordinator, JMI.

DU has, however, washed its hands off the matter. It has also told students that results would not be furnished according to the requirements of individual students and institutions. “We can’t make candidate-specific result declaration, even though we are trying to expedite the process. We can’t declare results unless the papers have been checked,” said RC Sharma, Dean of Examinations, DU.
