Delhi-based independent scientist Anadish Pal, who has nine US patents to his credit, has got another patent for devising a new approach to detect the origins of gravity and how it could be modulated.

While the existing forms of gravity fluctuations are considered to be of cosmic origin; through his two-year long research, Pal concluded that a communication link based on gravitational waves can travel through the earth and existing geo-stationary satellite based microwave communication links could be augmented and replaced.

"Using this technology, there are promising openings in medical imaging and gravitational communication. Gravitational modulation passes through matter and it can be used to communicate to and from where radio waves cannot reach," says Pal, who now with 10 US patents is perhaps the most US patent awarded Indian independent inventor.

His research is important in the light of the fact that scientists around the world are engaged in research in an attempt to detect gravitational waves for faster communication and information systems.

His other US patents are for the use of induction motor as a sensor, a personal mobility vehicle, a computer mouse suitable for 3D applications, a robotic platform, an valve-less internal combustion engine, a revolutionary gas-operated gun with smooth bore, a helicopter noise reduction technique, a railgun and a very high torque compact electric motor.
