An apparent tiff with her husband prompted a 25-year-old woman to jump to her death from the fourth floor of her southeast Delhi residence on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

An apparent tiff with her husband prompted a 25-year-old woman to jump to her death from the fourth floor of her southeast Delhi residence on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Police said the incident was reported from Sarita Vihar and the woman has been identified as Preeti Jha.

"Though no suicide note was recovered from her, it seems that she took the extreme step after a fight with her husband. Her body has been sent for post mortem examination," an officer said.

In a similar case, a 32-year-old playschool operator allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison at his residence in southwest Delhi's Najafgarh area. Police said Shankar Yadav was found dead at his house on June 7. He had left a suicide note naming three people who pushed him to end his life.
