A 13-year-old girl allegedly consumed anti-anxiety medicines after a private school allegedly refused to take her final examination due to non-payment of fee, here on Tuesday.

The girl is presently admitted at a hospital and is under medical observation. The girl’s mother said that her daughter is presently studying in Class-6 at a private school.
“The school management misbehaved with my daughter when she went for her exam on Tuesday. She was asked to leave as we are yet to pay ₹5,000 of the annual fee of ₹75,000,” she said.
She added that her daughter narrated the whole incident to her, following which she went to school and inquired the matter.
“I received a call from our residence at around 1pm that my daughter has consumed my anti-anxiety tablets. She was immediately rushed to a private hospital, where she is undergoing treatment,” the woman said.
She added that the school was informed that the pending fee will be submitted once they get the final result, as they have decided to shift their daughter to another school.
Despite repeated attempts, the school management could not be contacted for a comment. No police complaint has been filed so far.
