Common Management Admission Test to be held on January 28, 29

Registration for the test begins October 10, 2016 for admission to AICTE-approved management and pharmacy programmes

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced the schedule for the next edition of the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT). The computer-based tests will be conducted on January 28 and 29, 2017, for admission to the graduate management and pharmacy programmes of AICTE-approved institutions and affiliated colleges.

The CMAT is a three-hour test which is conducted in a single session to evaluate a candidate’s ability across various segments such as quantitative technique, logical reasoning, language comprehension and general awareness. Graduates in any discipline can apply for CMAT. Final-year students of graduate courses (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before beginning of admission for academic year 2017-18 can also apply. From academic year 2016-17, the CMAT will be conducted only once a year. A candidate will have to take the test on a pre-assigned computer at the test venue. Candidates can move back and forth between sections during the test. There will be negative marking for wrong answers. After clearing the test, candidates will be eligible for PGDM, MBA and similar, PGCM and executive PGDM programmes. Eligibility criteria for admission to these programmes will be as per criteria laid down by individual university/institution. There is no age restriction for appearing in CMAT.
