The Third International Life Skills, Values, Gender, School Health and Wellbeing Summit for the schools affiliated to CBSE organised in collaboration with Expressions India witnessed enthusiastic participants from schools across the country and UAE.

Among various stalls with themes related to life skills, values education and gender sensitisation etc, HT Education had one for students appearing for the CBSE Board exams this year. Not only were students offered subject related counselling by Hindustan Times learning centre StudyMate and tips to de-stresss, they also got a chance to participate in various activities like video and essay writing contests.

As part of the contest, students had to speak for a minute, without faltering, on what made them happy. For Bhumika Batra, a student of DPS Mathura Road, bringing smiles on people’s faces gave her immense happiness. “I have been associated with an NGO where I teach underprivileged kids,” she said. Iram from Summer Fields School said one shouldn’t be happy for a reason because that reason can be taken away anytime. Iram’s school buddy Mohammad found happiness in the smallest of things.

“My mother wishing me good morning, entering the school gate, seeing my teachers… I don’t need anything big to happen to make me happy,” he said.

For Rithika Pillai Sudhir who came from Dubai to attend the summit, the fact that she was in India for the first time to represent her school and country was enough to make her happy.
