How to apply for a Swedish scholarship

The Swedish Institute, a public agency working with Swedish and international partners offers scholarships to talented students, researchers and professionals, which cover tuition fees as well as living expenses in Sweden.

To apply for a scholarship you will need to write a letter of motivation in which you have to convince screening authorities how you intend to contribute to global development within your field and provide your CV.

The scholarship covers full tuition fee and tax-free living costs currently at a monthly rate of SEK 9,000 for master’s level studies, SEK 15,000 for Ph D studies and SEK 18,000 for postdoctoral researchers and senior scientists. In addition, scholarship holders are offered a one-time travel grant. As an SI scholarship holder you are also insured by the Swedish State Group Insurance.
