High schools, higher institutions, technical, medical and government training institutes to reopen soon with certain conditions in Jharkhand, said state health and disaster management department minister Banna Gupta.
The issue was discussed at a high level meeting of state disaster management authority (SDMA) held under the chairmanship of chief minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday.
Gupta said a detailed order in this regard will be issued in a day or two. “The classes for matric and intermediate will resume with certain conditions. Besides, higher, technical, dental, nursing and training institutes to also reopen.”
As per the press communiqué issued by the state information and public relation department (IPRD), a detailed discussion held about reopening of the schools, coaching institutes and cinema halls. Besides, the discussion on number of people to be allowed in functions, religious functions, fair and park also held with officials.
The meeting was attended by health and disaster management department minister Banna Gupta, chief secretary Sukhdev Singh, principal secretary to CM, Rajiv Arun Ekka, health secretary Nitin Kulkarni, disaster management department secretary Amitabh Kaushal and others were also present in the meeting.
School associations have been demanding for reopening of the schools in view of approaching board examinations of class-10 and 12 of all three boards-Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).
