Delhi University aspirants who have not made it to any college should not lose hope. Most colleges are likely to bring a third list with a slight dip in cutoff marks.

At Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR) out of the 730 total seats, the college has filled around 280. “There is still one day left for admissions under second list but even after that the college is likely to come out with a third cutoff list for most of the subjects,” said an LSR official.

The university will announce its third cutoff list on Sunday night. Admissions will begin from Monday. This year, DU will only release five lists.

Out of 1,179 seats at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma (ARSD) college, only 196 seats were filled by Wednesday. There have been 12 withdrawals as well. “Most of the courses are likely to remain open for admission at our college. However, what will be the dip will depend on admissions done on Friday,” said principal Gyantosh K Jha.

Ramjas College was able to fill around 50% of its seats by Wednesday. The college, which in the first list had the highest cutoff for BCom (hons) at 99.25 %, higher than SRCC’s 98%, reduced its cutoff to 97.75% in the second list. “Of course there will be a third cutoff list and most likely in all subjects. There have been some withdrawals also,” said principal Rajendra Prasad.

Similarly, at Hansraj College, only 563 seats have been filled out of the total 1,165. At Ram Lal Anand (RLA) College, only 145 admissions have been done out of the total over 600 seats.

The second cutoff list saw a dip of 1-3 percentage points in science courses and 0.25-2 percentage points in humanities and commerce. But the minimum mark still remained above 95% in popular colleges.
