Ruckus broke out at Springdales Public School in Kheri Rangran village in Yamunanagar on Saturday as angry parents manhandled and thrashed the schools’ staff for allegedly not providing enrolment numbers and transfer certificates to 40 students, who were recently promoted to Class 10.
Jarnail Singh, a parent, said, “Every school that is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education has to apply for enrolment when the students are in Class 9. If they do no do so, the students cannot appear for the Board exam. Springdales does not have a proper affiliation is playing with the children’s future.”
Deputy superintendent of police Subhash Chand had to intervene to calm down the angry parents. When contacted, the DSP said parents, students and members of the school management have been called for a meeting on Tuesday to resolve the issue.
School management president Praveen Sardana’s brother Girish Sardana, who was present in the school when the incident took place, said, “Of the total 40 students, most have received enrolment numbers. The rest will also receive it soon. The parents created a ruckus unnecessarily.”
Yamunanagar DC Amna Tasneem said, “A probe by the education department found that Springdales School in Yamunanagar does not have any affiliation and accordingly we had written for the registration of an FIR. We have forwarded the case of the school, to the Directorate of the Education Department to take the final decision.”

{{/usCountry}}This year, as many as 35 Class 10 students of Springdales Public School could not appear for their exam as the school did not get roll numbers from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) due to the affiliation issue.
