RSS-backed Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) left its mark on Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) polls by winning a seat in the predominantly left-aligned university for the first time in 14 years.

All India Students' Association (AISA), which had earlier won all four seats in JNUSU, won only two seats this time. Interestingly, ABVP gained on all four seats and finished second on two of them, while it was placed third on the president's seat.
ABVP outshone its opponents by huge margins and swept the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections this year despite predictions of a tough four-corner fight.
Left-leaning NSUI and AISA's vote share in DU have gone down from 27% and 21% last year to 19% and 13%, respectively, this year.
