Four other candidates from the state -- Ayushi Sharma, Pooja Kumari Parth, Rajendra Pensiya and Maneesh Kalwaniya --have also secured commendable ranks in the prestigious civil services examination.

Bhushan, who is currently completing her Indian Revenue Service (IRS) training in Nagpur, has done her undergraduation from Amherst, Yale after completing her higher secondary education from Jaipur.

“I have always wanted to work in the development services and this is why I appeared for civil services examination,” Bhushan told HT.

Jaipur-resident Ayushi Sharma, who secured AIR 155, had completed her engineering from Ganga University in 2013, but had always aspired to become a civil servant. “I have been preparing for the civil service examinations for the past one year...As a child, I always wanted to become a civil servant. Since my bother-in-law Abhishek Sharma is an IAS officer, his guidance proved to be very important for me,” she said.

Earlier a 3rd grade teacher and currently employed in Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS), Rajendra Pensiya, a resident of Sri Karanpur in Ganganagar district, has secured an AIR of 345. “While working, it is indeed difficult to prepare for UPSC, but nothing is impossible if one has the love and support of his family.”

Maneesh Kalwaniya, a resident of Deedwana in Nagaur district, also secured the 657th rank. His father was in the Indian Air Force.
